Our volunteers commit to consistently and reliably support the same Ravenswood classroom an hour each week during the school day for the full school year. No prior experience is needed as we will provide initial training and on-going support throughout the year. We look forward to having you join us in ensuring students get the support they need to succeed.
After years of being on nonprofit boards, Ben Lenail decided he wanted to volunteer directly with students face-to-face. Ben is working with students at Brentwood Academy and has been with ASM for four years.
“I love reading with the students because it gives me an opportunity to let my own imagination run wild and to also completely explain concepts to the kids in a very enthusiastic way. That hour of tutoring is a huge joy to me. I have become very bonded with those kids. They’re all extraordinary children.”
Eva says, "One of the most rewarding things about volunteering with All Students Matter is the connection I have with the students. I’d be taking my current student back to their classroom, and a student I worked with last year would come up and give me a hug."
"Volunteering with All Students Matter is a great way to help a neighboring school and have a direct impact on specific students. I am able to become a part of the larger community and support students in schools that have a need for extra volunteers."
"All Students Matter is one of the best run volunteers organizations I have ever been involved with. The volunteer training and other supports help to make it a high quality experience for both the volunteers and the students. Being part of an organization that makes good use of my time and is well run really motivates me to give it my all. I am thankful that I am able to give back to the community by being a part of ASM."
